Alan "Al" Wothe, age 75, of Frazee, MN, passed away Tuesday, January 6, 2015, at University Hospital in Lexington, KY. A memorial service will be held 1 p.m., Friday, January 16, 2015, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Frazee. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m., Thursday, January 15, 2015, at Furey Funeral Home, Frazee, with a prayer service to be held at 6:30 p.m. To leave online condolences, please visit www.fureyfh.com.

Alan Cecil Wothe was born September 27, 1939, in Frazee, to Cecil and Joyce (Johnson) Wothe. He attended Frazee High School graduating with the Class of 1957. He attended NDSU earning a Civil Engineering Degree. He married Kay Hendrickson on July 9, 1960. The couple raised 3 children: Kris, Mark and Phil. Al worked for MNDOT for 35 years, retiring in 1998.

Alan loved sports whether attending events or watching them on TV. He was a fan of both the Minnesota Vikings and Minnesota Twins. He was an avid grouse and deer hunter and had been hunting at the "Wothe Deer Shack" since 1955. He also bowled and golfed with the Frazee Men's Leagues for many years.

Alan is survived by his wife, Kay Wothe of Frazee, 3 children: Kris (Duaine) Rebiskie of St. Bonifacius, MN, Mark Wothe of Minneapolis, MN and Phillip (Stacy) Wothe of Waconia, MN; 4 grandchildren: Matt Beyer of Minneapolis, MN, Nicole Beyer of New Brighton, MN, Brennen Wothe of Waconia, MN, and Stephanie Wothe of Alta, Norway; his mother, Joyce Wothe of Detroit Lakes, MN; brother, Bruce (Elaine) Wothe of Atwater, MN; along with several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Cecil and many aunts and uncles.
