Bonnie Sonnenberg

Bonnie Sonnenberg, age 75, of Frazee, MN, passed away peacefully, Monday, July 10, 2017, at Perham Living.
Memorial service will be held 11 a.m., Monday, July 17, 2017, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Loon Lake. Visitation will be held from 3-5 p.m., Sunday, July 16, 2017, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Loon Lake with a prayer service to be held at 5 p.m. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday. Burial will be made at Lake Sybil Cemetery following the service on Monday.
Bonnie was born July 2, 1942 in North Dakota. She grew up in North Dakota where she attended St. Michael's Catholic School and graduated from high school in Grand Forks, ND. She traveled and lived in Washington D.C. for a time, El Paso, TX, then Grand Forks, ND, eventually moving to Moorhead, MN. Life then led to her to the Phoenix, AZ, area where she resided for a number of years until moving back to the Fargo, ND. Bonnie worked as a dental assistant while living in Arizona and in Fargo. She also worked as a medical receptionist in Moorhead, MN.
Bonnie met Marlo Sonnenberg in 1996. The couple married at Perham, MN the following year. Bonnie worked in various capacities at Perham Living for several years. They resided at Lake Seven and enjoyed winters in Arizona. Bonnie enjoyed traveling and shopping for shoes; she loved sparkle. She was kind and generous and loved gifting things to others. Bonnie did lots of volunteer work in her community throughout the years, especially with special needs kids. Bonnie was a member of the St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Loon Lake.
Bonnie is survived by her husband, Marlo of Frazee; 2 sons: Brent Fletcher of Fargo and Bradley Fletcher of Perham; step-son, Paul (Deb) Sonnenberg; 4 grandchildren: Kyle and Elizabeth Sonnenberg, and Tyler and Ashley Fletcher; sister, Vicki (Peter) Schmidt of West Fargo, ND; brothers-in-law: Robert (Janice) Sonnenberg of Detroit Lakes and Ronald (Joyce) Sonnenberg of Moorhead, MN; along with several nieces and nephews.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents and 2 sisters.
