Dean “Bugs” Kevin Brasel, age 62, of Frazee, MN, passed away on Saturday, September 2, 2017, at Sanford Hospital in Fargo, ND. A memorial service will be at 10:00 am on Wednesday, September 6, 2017, at the Crosspoint Alliance Church in Perham, MN, with a time of gathering an hour prior.
Dean was born on August 4, 1955, to John and Ann (Oldenburg) Brasel in Park Rapids, MN. He graduated from Perham High School in 1973. Dean did a few jobs throughout the years but mainly construction, which he did for over 40 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and was always there to help. He spoiled his grandchildren and was the best grandpa (Papa) they could have ever wished for! He was exactly what a dad should be and you never had to wonder if he loved you, it poured from him. He worked with his son-in-law doing construction for the last 15 years and you always knew he would be there. He also enjoyed watching the Twins, doing word finds, and sharing coffee with friends at one of the local restaurants.
He is survived by his daughter, Tiffany (Steve) Ueke of Frazee and their three children: Kylie, Aliese, and Gryson; his step-children and their families: Joe, Carla, Aubrey and Ariana Doll; Jess, Kris, Ivan, Anna, and Micah Buller; and Angie, Darwin, Landon, Mason, and Braxton Lindsey; his siblings, Janice (Gordon) Pederson of Menahga, Jack Brasel of Duluth, George (Gina) Brasel of Toledo, OH, Chuck (Kathy) Brasel of Dent, Diane (George) Rux of Perham, Carol (Russel) Schaefer of Detroit Lakes, Dale Brasel of Perham, Lois (Dave) Samuelson of Detroit Lakes, Darla Brasel of Perham, and Ed Brasel of Perham; and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Ann; and three sisters, Jeanie Veal, Vicki Derung, and Judy Hanson.
