Earl W. Scott Jr., 69, Detroit Lakes, MN, died Saturday, October 6, 2012 at Essentia Health - St. Mary's in Detroit Lakes.
Funeral Services for Earl will be held Thursday, October 11 at 11AM in United Methodist Church, Vergas, MN. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services. Interment will be in the Vergas Village Cemetery, Vergas, MN.
Earl was born March 30, 1943, in Waukesha, WI. He spent most of his life in Minnesota. He enjoyed being around people. He was known to be quite a tease with a grand sense of humor. He was always willing and very generous when it came to helping others. He had a great interest with attending car shows and cruising the country side in his Sebring convertible. His greatest joy was spending time with his family. Earl will truly be missed by his many friends and loving family.
Earl is survived by his wife: Janet, five children: Adam, Linda, Darcie, Kathy and Kerry; 10 grandchildren and five great grandchildren; he is also survived by two sisters: Audrey and Sandy and one brother: Michael.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Earl and Jessie and one brother: Elroy.
