Elaine Riebe, age 90, of Frazee, MN, went to her Lord on Thursday, September 4, 2014 at the Frazee Care Center in Frazee, MN. Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Frazee, Reverend William Aufdenkamp officiating.

Friends may call from 4:00-7:00 PM Tuesday, September 9, 2014 with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at Furey Funeral Home. The visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday.


Elaine was born on January 20, 1924 to Edwin and Anna (Galbrecht) Jenson in Toad Lake, MN. She was baptized on May 11, 1924 at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Toad Lake MN and on August 6, 1939 received her first communion. Elaine met the love of her life, Eugene Riebe, at a dance in Frazee and they were united in marriage on January 30, 1946. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and the Senior Citizen's Club. Elaine loved music and dancing and followed her children's band when they played. In October of 2011 she moved into the Frazee Assisted Living community and there enjoyed helping with the laundry, bingo, and socializing with many new friends.


Elaine was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Eugene Riebe of Frazee; parents, Edwin and Anna Jenson, Frazee, MN; sisters, Annabelle Haller of Orting, WA, and Judy Sevier of Venice, CA; sister-in-law, Dorothy Jenson of Great Falls, MT; brother-in-law, George Haller of Orting, WA; and son, Kenneth Riebe of Frazee, MN.
She is survived by a daughter, JoAnne (Mark) Gilbert of Helena, MT; a son, Bruce (Linda) Riebe of Frazee; sisters, Donna Bergen of Puyallup, WA and Adeline (Richard) Grundy of Great Falls, Mt; brother, Edwin Jenson of Great Falls, MT; brother-in-law Earl Sevier, Glendive, MT; seven grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.


Elaine was loved by family and friends and her family was the world to her. She was the kindest, sweetest, and happiest woman and will be greatly missed by all.
