Eleanor E. "Elly" Bigger, 84, Alexandria, MN, formerly of Frazee, died March 4 at Douglas County Hospital in Alexandria. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Friday, March 12 at Bethlehewm Lutheran Churchcin Frazee, Reverend William Aufdenkamp, officiating. Interment will be in Lakeside Cemetery.
Friends may call 5:00 - 7:00 PM Thursday at Furey Funeral Home and at the church 1 hour prior to the service on Friday.
Eleanor E. Bigger was born June 14, 1925 in Abingdon, IL to Harold and Linnea (Olson) Way. She moved to Frazee with her family as a young girl and is a 1943 graduate of Frazee High School. Elly was united in marriage to Charles "Chuck" Bigger, August 28, 1955 in Detroit Lakes. They lived in rural Frazee until moving into Frazee in 1957. You could stop by their house anytime for coffee and cookies or cake. They always had a large garden and produce to spare.
Chuck died in 1997 and Elly moved to her daughter Jeanne's home in Eden Prairie, MN and then to Alexandria, MN in 2008. She loved being a grandma to her two granddaughters and a mom to her special girls: Cindy, Patty, Vicky, Terese and Mona. She always loved out-fishing her son-in-law, Dan.
Survivors include a daughter: Jeanne' (Dan) Conley of Alexandria, MN; a son: David Bigger of Cottage Grove, MN; 2 granddaughters: Kailey and Kelsey Bigger of Woodbury, MN and many nieces and nephews.
