Hilma (Buehler) Haukebo, of Frazee, died peacefully on June 25, 2013, at the Frazee Care Center.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday June 28, 2013, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Frazee. Burial will take place at Lakeside Cemetery in Frazee. Lunch will be served following the service for all to attend. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, June 27, 2013, at Furey Funeral Home in Frazee with a prayer service to take place at 6:30 p.m. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.
Hilma was born November 8, 1913, to William and Ida (Sunram) Buehler on the family farm in rural Vergas. She married Arnold Haukebo on September 21, 1938, in Vergas. They resided in Erhard, Vergas and Frazee.
She was preceded in death by husband, Arnold; daughters: Janice (Jon) Johnson, and Dorothy Erickson. Also, her parents; 4 sisters: Emma, Selma, Sadie and Alvina; and brother, Harry.
Hilma is survived by sons: Duane (Annette) of Roseville, MN and Thomas (Claudia) of Ft. Collins, CO; daughters: Carolyn (Jim) Cole of Brainerd, MN and Jean (Phil) Rollie of Atkins, IA. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 1 son-in-law, David Erickson.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Bethlehem Lutheran Church and Hospice of the Red River Valley.
