Kathryn Halewycz, age 80, Frazee, MN died December 28, 2009 at the Frazee Care Center.
Kathryn was born on July 20, 1929 in Buczacz, Ukraine to Michael and Maria (Szulym) Halewycz. She attended school through grade 12 and did farm work for several years. In 1972, Kathryn entered the Frazee Care Center in Frazee, MN as one of the first residents at this facility.
She is survived by a sister Anna; nephew Bob Bordun and his family of Niagara Falls, Ontario; nephew Dan Bordun and family of Toronto, Ontario; cousins Theresa and Don Stadnyk and family of Toronto, Ontario and Paul Bytz and family of Warren, Michigan.
A funeral service for Kathryn will be held Wednesday, December 30, 2009, at 10:30 a.m. at the Frazee Care Center in Frazee, MN with Father Xavier Ilango officiating. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the Care Center. Burial will be at Sacred Heart Catholic Church Cemetery in Frazee.
