Kermit Kenneth Schultz was born January 4, 1940 in Candor Township, Vergas, Minnesota, the son of Ernest and Olga (Kratzke) Schultz. He passed away November 1, 2020 at his home in Vergas.
He was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Loon Lake, growing up in the Vergas area. He graduated from Frazee High School with the class of 1958 and worked at and owned Vergas Oil Company.
In 1973, he was united in marriage to Marie Moltzan at Zion United Church of Christ in Perham. They were blessed with three children. They made their home near Vergas. Kermit enjoyed farming, gardening, fishing, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife: Marie Schultz; children: Shari (Christopher) Brown, Steven Schultz, David (Erin) Schultz; grandchildren: Isaac Brown, Jackson Brown, Peter Brown, Samuel Brown, Ethan Schultz, Abby Schultz; siblings: Melvin (Carol) Schultz, Ardyce (LeRoy) Kicker, Darlene (Orville) Carlisle; nieces, nephews and other extended friends and family.
Kermit was preceded in death by his parents: Ernest and Olga Schultz.
