Lorraine Ann Knudsen

Lorraine Ann Knudsen, Age 86, passed away peacefully on September 6, 2026, at Pelican Landing in Detroit Lakes, MN.  She was born on November 19, 1939, around the Strawberry Lake area of Minnesota to Helen and Isaac Pellman.

Lorriane married George M. Knudsen Jr. on February 12, 1971, and lived on the Howe Lake farm for 52 years.  She was a homemaker, a stepmother to 5 children, loved gardening, flowers, birds, animals, dogs and especially cats.  She loved to read, cook, crochet and sew as a past-time.  Lorraine did many puzzles, crosswords, spending time with relatives and neighbors and going to Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Frazee.  She also loved woodworking, making birdhouses and yard decorations.

Lorraine is survived by one brother Robert Pellman; two sisters; Maryann (Jim) Brogren, and Lolly (Mike) Livingood; stepchildren; 10 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Lorraine was preceded in death by her husband George Knudsen Jr.; her parents, brothers & sisters; Reino, Roger, Joyce, Shirley, and baby Jeanette.  

Visitations will be held Saturday, September 12, 2026, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Frazee at 10:00am and services will be at 11:00am with lunch to follow.  Interment will follow at the Lakeside Cemetery around 1:30/2:00 pm.
