Louanna Aldrich

November 16, 1931 — June 13, 2016

Louanna Flower Aldrich, age 84, a lifelong resident of Frazee, passed away on Monday, June 13, 2016 at the Frazee Care Center. Louanna Eaton was born in Bothell, Washington to Albert and Gertrude (Steinkopf) Eaton on November 16, 1931. She graduated from the Frazee High School in 1949. Louanna married Barnabus William "Bill" Aldrich, Jr. on May 11, 1952 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Frazee. Together, they had three daughters, Paulette, Pam and Patty.

Louanna worked at the Peoples State Bank in Frazee for 4 years after graduation; and worked at the Frazee Post Office for 22 years when she retired in 1992. She always considered herself blessed to have such Great Jobs.

She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, serving in the Christian Mothers and singing in the Paradise Singers. She was active in the VFW Auxiliary, Garden Club, Golf League, Book Club and loved all animals, feeding the birds and flower gardening. (Her middle name, Flower, fit her beautifully!)

Louanna is survived by three daughters; Paulette (Allan) Bachmann, Frazee, Pamela (Jim) Pontius, Eagle Bend, MN, Patty Morcomb, Backus, MN, eleven grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Bill and her parents.

Visitation is Thursday, June 16th from 5:00 to 7:00 pm, with the wake service at 6:30 pm at the Furey Funeral Home in Frazee. Funeral Mass is at 11:00 am Friday June 17th at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 202 Maple Ave. West in Frazee.
