Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., Sunday, July 14, 2013, at Gethsemane Lutheran Church in Snellman with Pastor John M. Johannes officiating. Visitation will begin at the church one hour prior to the service on Sunday. Burial will be made at Mt. Olive Lutheran Cemetery in rural Detroit Lakes. Midge was born January 25, 1922, to John and Stella Graham at the Frazee Hospital. She grew up and attended school in Frazee, graduating from Frazee High School. After high school, Midge attended business school in Detroit Lakes.

Midge married John Oelfke at her parents' home on October 14, 1942. The couple was blessed with 5 children. They farmed in Height of Land Township for many years and she served as the township assessor for 22 years. She also worked as the Frazee Elementary School secretary for 25 years. She enjoyed raising her family and life on the farm. She cooked and baked for her family and they enjoyed many weekend camping trips. She also enjoyed bowling, painting, and was a very competitive card player. Her life passion, however, was always her family. She was a long-time member of Mount Olive Lutheran Church in Detroit Lakes.

Midge is survived by two daughters: Carolyn (Connie) Qualley of Detroit Lakes and Cheryl (Allen) Auerbach of Pensacola, FL; two sons: Rollie (Marilyn) Oelfke of Frazee and Jack (Lori) Oelfke of Mt. Vernon, WA; 9 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John in 1986, son, Roger, in 1975; three sisters and two brothers.
