The funeral services for Pamela Jean Wagner, 58, Frazee, MN, will be Thursday, August 20, 2009, at 2 p.m., at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Frazee, MN with Reverend William Aufdenkamp officiating. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery near Perham, MN. Visitation is scheduled at Furey Funeral Home, Frazee, MN on Wednesday, August 19, 2009, from 4-7 p.m., with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m., and also one hour prior to the service at the church. Pam died at Merit Care Palliative Care in Fargo, ND on Saturday, August 15, 2009.
Pamela Jean Zitzow was born September 4, 1950, in Fargo, ND to Alfred and Audrey (Knutson) Zitzow. She was baptized at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Moorhead, MN and confirmed at Zion United Church of Christ in Perham, MN. Pam was raised in Moorhead, MN until 1967 when she moved to Dent, MN and attended high school in Perham, MN. After high school, she went to Cosmetology School in Fargo, ND. On September 7, 1969, Pam married Michael Wagner in Dent, MN. They farmed in the Dent area and, in 1975, moved to Frazee, MN. Pam worked various jobs while also being home to raise and take care of her family. She enjoyed bowling, fishing, many other outdoor activities, socializing with friends and had the best looking garden around. After Mike died in 1999, she met Paul McPherson and moved to the Vergas area. She battled cancer since April 2009 until her death.
She is survived by her significant other Paul McPherson; three children, Tammy (Ron Lawrence) Collins, Heidi (Mike) Sonnenberg and Mitch (Theresa) Wagner; four grandchildren, Dougie and Taylor Collins and Desirae and Sabrina Sonnenberg; her brother Allen (Peggy) Zitzow; her sister Priscilla (John) Olson; her mother-in-law, Marge Wagner; four sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death are her husband Mike; son Matthew; parents Alfred and Audrey; her father-in-law, Jerry Wagner, and a brother-in-law, Johnnie Wagner.
