Richard Blair, age 62, lost his battle with cancer at home on March 2, 2023.
He was born in Denison, Iowa to Levi and Geraldine (Suntken) Blair. Rich often told stories of how his dad and uncles modeled great work ethic for him to follow. His dad worked hard, running his own plumbing business. Uncle Vern in Nebraska had him working on the farm at a young age. He and Uncle Andy also farmed and baled hay in Iowa and Uncle Dick led him to a meat cutting job.
In 2010, Rich met Connie Lee and settled down in the Vergas area. Uncle Bill's heavy equipment lessons fit in perfect at his new career on the Schlauderaff dairy farm where he worked right up until he was no longer able to.
Some recent life highlights include-- 2015 Rich found sobriety and 2017 he quit smoking. Also in 2017, thanks to social media, Fiona Adoram found her dad, Richard, and she was welcomed with open loving arms. He said she, "made him complete." 2020, Rich and Connie settled into home repairs and lawn mowing when they bought their Vergas home. He was very proud of these accomplishments.
He is survived by his fiancée, Connie and her sons of Vergas. His daughter, Fiona in Arizona. Siblings: Cathy, Ken, Jim, Deb, Jared, David and their spouses along with several nieces and nephews all spread across the US.
