Wayne Nystuen

Wayne David Nystuen, of Frazee, at the age of 84, went to be with Wanda, in the early morning hours of January 17, 2018.

Funeral service will be held 11 AM, Tuesday, January 23, 2018, at Furey Funeral Home in Frazee with a time of visitation to begin one hour prior to the service. Burial will be made next to his late wife, Wanda, at Summit Cemetery in Morris, MN, at 3:30 PM on Tuesday.

Wayne was born to Elmer and Eva Nystuen on May 17, 1933, in Morris, MN.

Wayne was a Navy guy. He served on the USS Daly, until his honorable discharge in August of 1955.  He then went to work for Northwestern Bell Telephone as a lineman for many years.  He and Wanda retired, then moved to Frazee.

Wayne is survived by sister, Phyllis Kiehl of Largo, FL; sister-in-law, Ardis Nystuen of Buffalo, MN; many nieces and nephews; his dog, Baby; and James Erb of Detroit Lakes, who was a wonderful friend to Wayne.

Preceding Wayne in death were his parents, Elmer and Eva; his wife, Wanda; brothers: Richard, Orland and James; sisters: Jean, Verna and Bernice; and Wanda’s daughter, Susan.
