Jason Paesler

Jason Lee Paesler was born June 7, 1977 in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, the son of Donald and Zona (Hedlund) Paesler. He passed away Sunday, July 12, 2020 at his home in Frazee, Minnesota.

He grew up and attended school in Frazee graduating with the class of 1995 Jason enlisted in the U.S. Navy after high school and completed basic training at Great Lakes Naval Base in Illinois. He served as a boiler operator, a trade he would put to good use in his civilian life. Jason received his honorable discharge in 1999 and joined the merchant Marines.

Jason worked as a boiler operator at Morey’s Fish Market in Motley, RDO in Park Rapids and currently at the solid waste plant in Perham.

He enjoyed reading, being outdoors and grouse hunting. Jason enjoyed traveling and hiking in Tamarac State Park with his son Ernie. In his younger years, he was a member of the Sea Cadets in Fargo and was always very proud of his time in the Military.

Jason is survived by his son Ernest Paesler; parents: Don Paesler, and Zona Paesler; siblings: Crystal Paesler; Dustin (Sara) Paesler; Ernest’s mother: Kimberly Paesler; aunts, uncles and other extended family.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Albert and Marge Paesler; Clarence and Marlys Hedlund.

A private burial with Military Honors at St. Paul Evergreen Cemetery will take place at a later date.
