Founded in 1984 by Dr. Alan Wolfelt, the Center for Loss and Life Transition is dedicated to supporting grieving people as they mourn significant transitions and losses that transform their lives. Widow Might®

This is an organization based in Minnesota which exists to bring widows together, provide support, and offer resources and events to women of any age who find themselves on the unwelcomed path of widowhood. It is a Christian-based organization believing that one of the most valuable resources is others walking the path of widowhood and choosing to help others.

The Grief Club of Minnesota

The Grief Club of Minnesota - A Healing Place for Children, Teens & Families

We are a safe haven of support, compassion, education and hope. We provide services by licensed mental health counselors at no cost to participants so that children, teens, and their families can navigate grief in healthy ways.

Children's Grief Connection

Hearts of Hope Camp & Teen Retreat is a grief camp that provides an encouraging environment and support network to children/teens who have experienced the death of a parent, sibling, grandparent or significant friend. These two-day camps provide opportunities for children to meet other children who understand and to share their feelings and memories. Memorialization activities include candle lighting, balloon release, and arts and crafts, in addition to typical camp fun and games. This camp is free thanks to the generous support of Minnesota funeral directors and other concerned persons. Visit the website for schedule and application.

Brighter Days Grief Center

This is an unparalleled family-focused grief center serving Minnesota families since 2017. As the only nonprofit Family Grief Center in Minnesota, we provide free grief support resources, programs and services for youth, young adults, adults, and families who are grieving the death or terminal diagnosis of a beloved family member.

Smile Again Retreat Center

Smile Again Ministries helps families cope with the grief and struggles that follow the death of a child. Since 1998, SAM has helped several moms, dads, and surviving siblings cope with their loss and pain. It is located at Whitetail Lodge, near Crosslake, Minnesota. This is a safe place to deal with your shattered emotions. It doesn't matter what age your child was when he or she died—we have found the pain suffered by parents is deep no matter how old your child was. It is $50 a night per bedroom suite.

Faith's Lodge

Faith’s Lodge was created by a bereaved Twin Cities couple in remembrance of their daughter, Faith Ann, to provide opportunity to draw strength from others who have had similar experiences or simply to retreat for a while in the tranquil Northwoods setting. It serves parents and families who have suffered the loss of a child (19 years old and younger) in the past three years. It is located in Danbury, WI, and gives parents and families the opportunity to stay from one to five nights once during each calendar year.
